Protecting your Profile Account

How do I bind my profile, change it to a different device, or restore it after a problem? Find out what you need to know before trouble strikes!

YOUR ACCOUNT SETTINGS

All player’s information is tied (bound) to either a Google Play or Apple Game Center account. This is very important to understand, because all your progress and account information relies on this connection. This is also critical to know if you run into issues updating, want to switch your account to a different device, or heaven forbid you need to restore it for technical reasons. We will try to explain it as simple as possible.

The Logistics

Sniper Arena hosts all the game data on their servers. The way you’re identified and join the game is by your Player ID and via the connection with your Account (Google Play or Game Center). These details were configured when you first downloaded and started the game. The process is different, depending which device you have.

When you start the game for the first time on a device, it looks at those profiles and if correct, loads your existing sniper account. If not the same, it creates a new one.

Apple Game Center:

Your profile is linked to the Apple ID you used to log into Game Center. This account is used to create the Sniper Arena Played ID when you first launched the game.

  1. Keep track of which Apple ID is used for Sniper Arena. It helps to even write it down somewhere.
  2. If you are not sure which account is used, each time you open the game your game center name pops up at the beginning.
  3. Your Sniper Arena Player ID is the number found in the bottom right of the profile window.

If you switch Apple ID’s or log off, this will sever the connection! So the next time you open Sniper Arena, it will create a brand new player and ID.

Google Play:

Your profile is linked to the Google Account (email) you used to log into Google Play. This account is used to create the Sniper Arena Played ID when you first launched the game.

  1. Keep track of which Google Account/email is used for Sniper Arena. It helps to even write it down somewhere.
  2. Your Sniper Arena Player ID is the number found in the bottom right of the profile window.

If you switch Google accounts or log off, this will sever the connection! So the next time you open Sniper Arena, it will create a brand new player and ID.

How do I bind my SA account to a Game Center account?

If you didn’t have the game bound to an account when you first started, you should do this as soon as possible.

  1. Quit the game first.
  2. Then in your device Settings, navigate to the Game Center tab and sign in with an Apple ID.
  3. Your Game Center account will bind to the game the next time you will start it.

SPECIAL NOTE: there is a slim chance that a new profile will be created. If this happens, send both IDs (the new one and the old one) to the Sniper Arena Game Support and the progress will hopefully be restored.

How do I change my SA account to a different device?

To change to a new device, you need to first sign in on the new device with the same Account, and then download the game.

If a different Google/Apple account was used on that new device before, then you will need to first remove the old account from the device.

Currently, it is not possible to switch between Apple and Android devices.

SPECIAL NOTE: If you are using an Apple device and your account was not bound to a Game center account. Please contact the Game Support to restore your progress.
